Arai Te Uru Whare Hauora provides a comprehensive and holistic range of
support services towards wellness for the whole whanau. Their concept of 'health' acknowledges
physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and they have services across these areas.
Their family violence services include providing victims/survivors with safe exit plans,
safety advice, advocacy with other organisations, and referrals. Social workers can work with
the whanau as a whole in addressing violence and provide home visits. Also relevant are free
parenting education courses.

Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse Trust (MSSAT)
MSSA provides support to men recovering from the consequences of sexual abuse. They provide

- Support to help men decide on how they wish to move forward.
- Referral to ACC counsellors and other appropriate agencies.

Rape Crisis Dunedin
RCD provides free counselling and ongoing support to victims/survivors
of sexual assault, sexual abuse and rape, whether recent or historical. Counselling can be
done over the phone or in person as preferred by the victim/survivor, and group therapy is
also available.

Stopping Violence Dunedin (SVD)
SVD provides individual and group education programmes for people with violence issues and increasingly provides a wider range of support for perpetrators of violence and their family/whānau. They offer individual support programmes, as well as groups for either men or women, and a holistic support service called kaiwhakaruruhau. They also offer support and advice to family and friends of whanau who are experiencing violence.

Te Whare Pounamu
Te Whare Pounamu is the Dunedin Women's Refuge. It is a general refuge but is run by a collective of Maori women. It provides emergency accommodation and support to women in sexually, emotionally, and domestically abusive relationships.
